Tutor Your Child began as a way of supporting parents to not only understand the maths and English curriculum content for each primary school year, but also to increase understanding of how children were being taught within school, so parents could use these same strategies to support their children at home.

We know first-hand the effect that “falling behind” can have on have on children. We have seen how this can impact their mental health and emotional well-being. This drives our core aim:

Catch them, before they fall…

As teachers and leaders of education, we are passionate about giving children the very best opportunities so that they can feel confident in their learning and proud of their progress. By supporting our children today we are investing  in future scientists, mathematicians, accountants, teachers… the world really is their oyster!

At ‘Tutor Your Child’ we offer a variety of tutoring options and well-being support to children from Reception to Year 6. We understand that private tutoring can be costly and we therefore want to remove this barrier, offering our services at a much lower cost so that  parents can support their children at home and keep them on track. Why? Because all children deserve a chance to shine.

Our programmes are already helping families across the UK and we hope that they will support you too. Each programme is designed to be completed in small, manageable steps, in the comfort of your own home, so please do take a look and read our testimonials from those who have already been involved in our programmes

Sue Fraser

I trained as a primary teacher 13 years ago following a very different career in banking.

After 8 years working as a class teacher and subject leader, I left my full-time job to become a professional tutor and I continued to grow my tutoring business into a full-time job.

One of my main passions is children’s mental health and I believe teaching is so much more than learning; it’s about nurturing children to believe in themselves and helping them to achieve the confidence to try new things and challenge themselves.  The job of a teacher is a privilege and how we shape children’s lives and learning will hopefully stay with them for the rest of their lives.

We believe that, through ‘Tutor Your Child’, we can empower parents to help their own children achieve and be part of their learning journey.

I am a trained Primary Teacher with an honours degree in Primary Education and have been teaching for 35 years.

My most recent posts have been as a Deputy Head and Special Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator in schools. I have absolutely loved supporting children and their families over many years and I love to hear about the things that the children have gone on to do, often accompanied by stories of how they remember the start of their journey in education.

I have a passion to ensure each child can achieve their potential and have always worked to find ways that schools can adapt so that children can flourish. I have learnt so much from every child and family that I have had the privilege to work with. Through Tutor Your Child, I am delighted that our shared experiences are able to help parents become skilled and informed guides for their children

I qualified as Primary Teacher in 2001 and have have enjoyed teaching in Kent and Sussex schools since this time, developing my skills and sharing my expertise. Teaching really is a privilege and I love watching children grow and develop in so many ways.
