4. Product and Service Pricing
4.1 All pricing is displayed on the website. If an error occurs, we will make every effort to contact you and rectify this and either offer you the opportunity to cancel your order, or refund or pay any difference.
4.2 Any amendments to pricing for the subscription service (excluding special offers and discounts) will be reviewed on an annual basis and implemented at the start of each new academic year and posted to the website.
4.3 Pricing of resources, seminars, workshops, tutoring, assessments and any other one-off services may change throughout the year. Pricing will be detailed on the website and price honoured at the time of booking.
4.4 You are entitled to cancel your membership at any time by contacting us via email at enquiries@tutoryourchild.co.uk.
5. Your Order
5.1 When you place an order you will automatically receive a confirmation email from us to confirm your order details. Your order constitutes an offer made to us to purchase a product or service. Separate product or service purchases may be detailed on separate emails.
5.2 Your offer is only accepted by us once we have emailed you to confirm creation of your account or purchase of the product or service.
5.3 Product or service items not included within your account email are not included in the order and contract between you and us unless purchased separately (see section 7 and 8 below).
5.4 We reserve the right to delay or refuse orders where a transaction contains incomplete details or details that cannot be verified or where fraud is suspected.
5.5 If we are unable to reasonably ascertain these details or resolve these issues, a full refund will be made to the payment method used at the time of purchase. No other form of refund or credit will be offered nor will a refund be made to any third-party card or account.
6. Subscriptions and Cancellation Rights
6.1 Subscriptions are offered as a regular monthly payment. The monthly payment will be debited on the date the subscription was opened and on this date for each subsequent month. This monthly payment covers use of the resources for the calendar month in which subscription commenced; therefore, subscribers can see previous weeks’ content. The course of lessons runs until the end of August so the August payment covers access to August content after which payments will cease. Subscribers can then sign up for a new subscription to the next year group which will commence in September.
6.2 Subscribers may join the programme at any time throughout the academic year. Subscribers joining mid academic term will be able to access content produced previously within the same term. However, the pace and content of our tutor sessions has been carefully planned to ensure manageable steps for you and your child and is designed as a step-by-step weekly delivery programme. It is not recommended you try to catch up on all previous content.
6.3 You may cancel the monthly subscription at any time by contacting us at customerservices@tutoryourchild.co.uk We will action your request within 5 working days. As soon as your plan is cancelled, access for that plan will cease and no further payments will be taken.
6.4 Free trials and special offers may be offered at various times throughout the year. We will post these to the website, or special coupon codes may be given via leaflet, personalised mailing, in person or through general advertising. These will not always be advised individually to customers. Some offers may be made available to ‘new’ or alternatively ‘existing’ customers only.
6.5 If you enter into a subscription for our regular Curriculum Steps programme, you will receive access to a weekly tutor session (depending on the programme purchased) for either maths and/or English and supporting PDF worksheet(s) or similar.
6.6 Tutor Your Child do not provide individual tutor sessions or individual advice as part of the programme unless as part of an individual assessment (see 7 below). We will endeavour to answer all possible questions during our video sessions. Additional comments, suggestions and questions can be emailed to us with details of your child’s year group and programme at enquiries@tutoryourchild.co.uk. Although these will not always be answered individually, we will attempt to incorporate comments, questions and support in further videos and/or through posting answers and comments to help you on the website which can be viewed at www.tutoryourchild.co.uk/frequently-asked-questions.
6.7 As part of your membership, you will receive a downloadable PDF assessment, for your child to complete, which will cover a block of lessons at the end of each topic. We do not collect any data from this assessment but this is for your own use to highlight to you if you need to recap on any areas.
You will also receive access to a downloadable PDF assessment at the end of each term including all the curriculum learning topics covered to date from the start of the academic year. These are for use by you to assess how much your child can remember from the learning so far and whether they need to revisit any tutor sessions before moving on (see 6.8).
6.8 The previous term’s tutor sessions will be removed from the Tutor Your Child member access three times a year, two weeks after each assessment has been given and before the start of the next academic term’s lessons (Autumn, Spring and Summer). If you wish to revisit any tutor sessions, members will need to do so within this time period. Once removed, previous tutor sessions will not be available.
6.9 Programme content is all delivered via access to our website. Issues with the website, will be handled as quickly as reasonably possible to avoid disruption. Although content is delivered weekly, issues with the website beyond our control may delay access and we will then endeavour to rectify any problems as soon as reasonably possible.
6.10 As part of any paid subscription, you will also receive full access to the ‘Wellbeing Zone’ content which will be updated throughout the year and new articles and support added regularly. Previous content will be removed periodically to create a focus on new content. Subscribers will be able to access this page at any time throughout the year via the website.
6.11 As part of the free membership, you will be able to access free details and ideas on supporting your child to learn and will have partial access to the ‘Wellbeing Zone’. Other ideas and advice may be uploaded on this free site from time to time.
7. Assessments
7.1 Academic assessments are made using the National Curriculum (UK) standards for each year group. These assessments will be offered as a separate purchase and should be initiated by completing the ‘Enquiry Form’ available through the ‘Personalised Learning Profile’ section of our website. Once an enquiry has been received, we will contact you to discuss your child, payment method and the assessment process. Once payment has been received, we will commence the assessment. Individual written and verbal feedback will be provided as part of the assessment process. Please note, we will endeavour to capture all information correctly but this assessment should be reviewed in conjunction with other academic data from your child’s school and other agencies. The information given by us is given in good faith using our experience and qualifications. However, this may not represent the views of all agencies or individuals.
7.2 Learning Needs assessments will be offered as a separate purchase and should be initiated by completing the ‘Enquiry Form’ available through the ‘Personalised Learning Profile’ section of our website. Once an enquiry has been received, we will contact you to discuss the assessment process and requirements. Once payment has then been received, we will commence the assessment process. Individual written and verbal feedback will be provided as part of the assessment. We will endeavour to cover a wide scope of your child’s learning abilities but this report should be used in conjunction with other academic and learning needs data from your child’s school and from other agencies. The information given by us is given in good faith using our experience and qualifications. However, this may not represent the views of all agencies or individuals.
7.3 If, at any point, we think your child may benefit from further involvement with wider professionals, we will discuss this with you.
7.4 All individuals responsible for creating the learning content of Tutor Your Child hold an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check which is updated annually and we are committed to the safeguarding of children.

9. Content Ownership
9.1 All content is owned by ourselves at Tutor Your Child and cannot be reproduced in any other format.
9.2 Content from other companies is occasionally used and has been approved for use by such companies.
9.3 Passwords and access to the subscription site cannot be shared with any other person and is only for use by the subscriber. Any breach of this will result in your membership being revoked.
10. Customer Complaints
10.1 All customer complaints should be directed to customerservices@tutoryourchild.co.uk. 10.2 We endeavour to respond to all complaints within a 5 day period.
11. Privacy
11.1 Tutor Your Child (‘We’, ‘Us’, ‘Our’) is committed to protecting and respecting the data you share with us. We take your privacy seriously. We comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR regulations. All data is held securely. For further details please see our Privacy Policy below.
11.2 Data will not be shared with a third party or any other organisation outside Tutor Your Child without your prior consent or unless required by law or for safeguarding purposes.
12. Disclaimer
12.1 Use of the weekly tutor sessions are carefully designed to supplement your child’s learning in line with the National Curriculum for each academic year group for maths and English It is not intended as a school substitution or to replace mainstream learning.
12.2 All schools teach the curriculum content in their own order. This will not necessarily mirror the order of our programme but by the end of the year all main content will have been covered. Teaching techniques do vary between different schools and may vary from our techniques.
12.3 We follow cursive writing guidelines and teach this writing style from Reception as research shows this improves motor memory for spelling. This is a curriculum requirement for writing style for all children by the end of year 6. However, some schools do not introduce this writing style until junior school age.
12.4 Tutor sessions are grouped in topics so it is possible to join the subscriber programme at any time during the academic year. However, in order to gain the maximum benefit from this programme, tutor sessions should be followed each week by you with your child and all activities undertaken. Tutor sessions build in complexity as the year progresses and all new learning is built on previous learning. If you miss a week, try to fit in this addition session but make sure tutor sessions are kept in order to ensure you and your child can access the content and learning required to build a strong foundation before moving forward. If you join part way through the academic year, we recommend you start tutor sessions at the start of a topic rather than trying to catch up on additional content which may place undue pressure on you and your child.
12.5 The content of our tutor sessions is provided using our experience and qualifications in conjunction with the contents of the National Curriculum. However, this may be represented differently by schools, agencies or individuals.
12.6 We do not provide any guarantee of, or accept any responsibility for, children’s level of academic attainment or abilities in areas tutored by you through our programme. Content delivery and teaching is the responsibility of individual subscribers.
