“My daughter is really enjoying the Refresher Programme. I’m pleased to be able to help her recap on Year 1 and to know what she understands or may need a little help with.

Your videos are so easy to understand and the activities are completely doable without being a chore.

We love doing it together too.  Thank you!!“

“What a comprehensive package to offer children and adults alike. The videos are presented by knowledgeable and professional teachers who share their experience and tips in a very friendly and accessible way. I love the way you explained what children would have already learnt in which year groups and weaved in catchy phrases to help remember concepts. The worksheets are fantastic to practise the learning and the fact that they come in different levels of challenge is an inspired idea.

I felt as if we had a set of personal tutor sessions and now have some much confidence supporting the learning based on what we had seen and practised in the videos and worksheets.”

Sue has been tutoring our son for 4 years, since he left infant school, when he was struggling to meet his targets. He is now nearing the end of year 6 and the difference in his confidence and attitude to learning is unrecognisable. Sue’s warm, fun and friendly approach has always made him feel happy and reassured. She has made him believe that he CAN succeed in his learning, instead of believing that he can’t; a confidence that is reflected many other areas of his life now. Sue breaks content into manageable chunks and provides detailed techniques and strategies that align with his interests to help him remember and apply in class. The biggest compliment we could pay Sue is that he absolutely loves his tutoring sessions with her and we have never had a single complaint about ‘extra’ work’ on a Saturday morning.”

“Maryanne and I have been friends and colleagues for over twenty years. During our time working together we have shared a passion for the promotion of self-esteem and growth mindsets in children. We agree that all children have innate ability and it is the responsibility of parents and teachers to unlock any barriers that prevent children from thriving and achieving their potential – whatever the issues. When I became Headteacher of the school in which I had taught for many years, I was thrilled to have Maryanne as my Deputy as well as the Special Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCO).

Between us we ensured all staff were trained in promoting growth mindsets, enhancing self-esteem and encouraging resilience and love of learning. It was important to us that each child was taken as an individual and that it was the child we taught – not the subject. This worked and became a large part in the outstanding judgement that we received from Ofsted.

Maryanne has now decided to move on and promote all the ideals that made her so inspirational at school to reach a wider audience. I wish Sue and Maryanne every success in this venture. Anyone signing their child up for any of the programmes offered on this website will be putting their child into safe hands.”

“Inspiring, encouraging and tutoring with kindness has been our experience since my son has been learning with Sue. She has a special talent for supporting children in a fun and engaging manner, offering different methods to adapt to the child’s learning style. My son’s confidence has grown and he has now caught up with his fellow class mates. As a parent, I feel so grateful to have found Sue, not just for my son’s development, but also in skills she has taught me to support his learning.”

“Maryanne, there are no words to explain how grateful I am for everything you have done for us as a family, especially for everything you have done for our son. You have changed his life forever and he now has a bright future ahead.”

“I have worked alongside Sue as a colleague in school for many years. Her amazing patience, belief and care demonstrated in her teaching with children inspired me to also train to become a teacher! On a personal level, Sue tutored both of my children. My eldest, who has learning difficulties, was struggling greatly in maths; showing very low self-esteem in school in this subject area. Within weeks of tutoring with Sue, her confidence and skills grew considerably, together with the work she began to produce and her general feeling towards the subject.

My youngest daughter asked to be tutored by Sue in maths and again progressed significantly. During a parent’s evening, her school teacher gushed at the amazing progress she had made and the significant impact that Sue’s tutoring had contributed. As a result, a holistic partnership was formed between teacher and tutor in helping to consolidate areas where my daughter needed extra support, providing a truly positive experience for everyone, but most of all, my daughter.

I cannot recommend Sue highly enough. “

“Maryanne was the SENDCo at my daughter’s school, my daughter has special needs, including complex physical needs which made starting at a mainstream school a huge worry for me. Maryanne put my mind at ease and throughout the 3 years we were at the school everything that Maryanne did for my daughter was done with care and thought and without any problem, even if it was not straightforward. I felt extremely reassured by Maryanne’s caring nature and always knew that she put my daughter’s needs first. I would without a doubt recommend Maryanne to help and nurture your child with you and I wish her so much luck with her future.”
